I was referred to them by a previous moving company that I used about 6 years ago for a move from NY to SF. I needed to hire a mover for my move from SF to LA just now. The previous company could not accommodate my move and thus directed me to AMS Bekins. Dylan arrived at my home to do an estimate and ended up going with them in the end. Sandra from the office was helpful to with coordinating logistics with the inventory pick up. The movers themselves Andres and Daniel are very professional, accommodating, and pleasant to work with. I don't know who is posting these negative reviews but when the previous company who I used for a cross country move (who provided excellent service) refers me to AMS Bekins only to have four different people from the company give me an overall pleasant experience, I think that speaks volumes. Yes, I highly recommend AMS Bekins. read less

Excellent experience with Bekins. They were very professional and made the moving experience easy. Andres, Daniel, and Lupe helped us with the loading in Northern California and delivery in Southern California. Highly recommend.

The initial contact with the company was excellent and professional. The appointment I had with the estimator was the most thorough and professional of all the companies I met with to interview. I met with Jim Diskin who I recommend 100%. I have expensive furniture, including a piano and 2 antique beds that needed to be moved carefully. Bekins was the most expensive but worth the piece of mind that I had throughout the whole experience. Boris was the supervisor and his packing crew was thorough, fast, and very friendly! The next day was the actual move and they were outstanding. I have to move again in 18 months and I will ask for the same crew! Boris was very professional and really understood exactly what needed to be done and had the guys all moving seemlessly. They were very very helpful, always respectful and courteous. I was very fortunate because I had read all the horror stories on Yelp and was very concerned about choosing the best company. Thank you, Bekins. Thank you Boris and crew! read less

They had good advice for us and honest estimates of cost, arrival times, and delivery options. Boris was the best driver we've ever had (and this was our ninth move!) He was clean, neat, careful, and approachable. After he unloaded, I called him to ask about something. He answered immediately and answered my question easily. I just relocated from Diamond Heights in San Francisco proper, to north Scottsdale, Arizona. I had to hit very specific dates on very short notice, both for my move out of my condominium in San Francisco, and for my move-in in Scottsdale Arizona. Bill the estimator came to give me the estimate for my move. He was great, and turns out his estimate was spot on with estimating the weight and number of pieces that I had to move. More importantly to me, he listened to my needs and date specifications, and then clearly communicated back to me about what AMS Bekins could and could not do, which was perfect.Austin came next, who coordinated the entire move. Austin's communication was constant, professional, and spot in. It was clear Austin was working very hard to make sure I would be a very happy, satisfied customer - and his efforts worked - I am very happy satisfied customer!!!Last I want to call out and really complement Eric, Who not only was part of my packing and unpacking crew, he was the moving van driver who physically drove my stuff to Arizona for me. Eric communicated every step of the way, plus was always professional and polite - and really just a first class, Nice guy!Thank you Bill, Austin, Eric and the rest of the AMS Bekins crew! When the representative came to my home to give me an estimate he was very professional and went over all the details with me. Bekins was able to keep my household items in storage for 2 months free as I waited on the closing of my new home. My home was packed up in a day in May and unpacked in July, also in a day. The crew that packed and unpacked didn't waste any time and were courteous and friendly. Moving furniture in, my kitchen flooring was damaged, which Begins, Mike Foster, took care of immediately. I am glad I went with a family owned business and I would recommend them to anyone. read less

What a group effort they did for me when I was abruptly tossed out and locked out of my own company and need ed to find immediate relocation place to store my office while I would statrt my new company. I live and work in San Francisco so Burlingame worked well.But the very big surprise was the enthusiam and service i have received from everyone since I became a client. This was our second big move using Bekins and we have zero complaints. The first move was from Miami to San Francisco, we used Bekins of South Florida. We had a 4/5 star experience. But for this move, we went from San Francisco to Long Beach, CA and they did a better job. After reading the reviews on here about Bekins AMS, I was hesitant to use them, but I am so glad we did. The guy way overestimated our weight, so we ended up paying a lot less in the end. Andreas made our move seamless, his team packed and loaded our stuff quickly and efficiently (8am-1pm). Two days later they unloaded and assembled everything within 3ish hours. They were so professional and quick. His wife also did an excellent job labeling the boxes and filling out the sheets. Not one item was lost. Not one item was damaged. And on top of that they sent us a refund of a few hundred dollars, I assume due to a slight overestimate. Val Hardwick and her team were transparent and incredibly helpful. Overall, they didn't have the best price, but their estimator was on time, friendly and answered all of our questions, without trying to upsell me on services we didn't need. When move out day came they brought a few too many guys but everything was in the truck within 4 hours. They even provided extra boxes for us to use, for no extra charge. Their driver, Eric, was very, very communicative and very responsive. All the furniture was well wrapped. There did end up being a few marks on our IKEA furniture but absolutely nothing was broken. On move-in day, Eric met us on time (very punctual!) and the local Vegas-based movers were great. They helped unwrap and organize all the furniture. They consistently made sure we were happy with their service, and how our furniture was placed. A few days after the move in Eric contacted me and they accidentally left a box in the truck. Luckily, we were easily able to coordinate a time that worked and he dropped off the box a couple days later. We ended up receiving a check for almost $500 because they over-estimated the quote! I feel most companies would have kept the profit, but they didn't! Overall, Bekins has excellent service and we will definitely use them again in the future if we move! read less
